The Sony ICD-PX470 is a digital voice recorder with a built-in USB connection. It records in linear PCM and MP3 formats and is suitable for capturing lectures, meetings, notes and even live music. It requires no cable to communicate with your computer, just plug the drive into an available USB port on your computer to move files back and forth.
The unit provides 4GB of internal memory but this is expandable via the microSD card slot. A calendar search function makes finding your files a simple task.
The audio quality of the recording is served by a low-cut filter to eliminate strange noise and noise, as well as Auto Voice Recording mode, an S microphone system, and adjustable options to capture stereo or mono sources from short distance and away. The included two AAA batteries allow the unit to last up to 55 continuous hours. Sound Organizer for Windows software is also included.
